Sabre launches cloud based agent platform
Travel tech provider Sabre Pacific has launched a new cloud computing solution for Australian travel agents.
Sabre Vero offers access to the agent desktop via multiple devices including desktop, laptop, tablet or smart devices at multiple locations
It enables user controlled authentication to enhance security, offering extra flexibility for remote and mobile users.
Agents can control which Sabre applications are accessible through the virtual desktop based on their own individual requirements.
It can include Sabre Red, Sabre Pacific applications, Microsoft Office 365 and any agency web applications.
"Sabre Vero allows the travel industry to centralise their technology offering with managed technical support for the Desktop as a Service (DaaS) and associated applications," said Sabre Pacific managing director, Jeremy van de Klundert.
"By minimising expenditure on local hardware and office based servers, cloud computing is not only a cheaper option for travel agencies but it also delivers efficiency," de Klundert added.
