Sabre’s AgentStream is the talk of the office
Sabre’s AgentStream, the world’s largest social community for travel agents, has now passed 10,000 members and launched in Asia Pacific region with the Orient Express Travel Group.
The launch into Asia Pacific makes AgentStream the first global travel agent-only networking community, having been a hit in the United States, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
AgentStream now has travel agents from every GDS and more than 150 countries connecting and collaborating daily in this free community.
Sabre Pacific GM sales and product Australia and New Zealand, Carl Frier, said as a member of AgentStream, "agents can collaborate with other travel agents around the world, ask questions and obtain useful tips and insights from a global community of agents, helping them provide the very best service to their customers".
With the launch into APAC, AgentStream now also allows agencies to create private groups to contact and communicate with others within their own group.
Tom Manwaring, chief executive of Orient Express Travel Group, says AgentStream gives agents the flexibility to talk virtually with other global AgentStream users or communicate exclusively with members of its own private Orient Express sub-community known as "Express Chat" through the My Agency feature.
“The My Agency feature in AgentStream allows our Select and 1ndependence members to share information with a select audience only, such as promotions or Express Ticketing news updates,” says Manwaring.
AgentStream also allows agents to gain and share insights on suppliers, destinations, properties, extras, activities or restaurants and comment on the trends shaping the industry, as well as learn more about Sabre products.
While Sabre-connected agents can access AgentStream directly from the Sabre Red Workspace via single sign on, it is also available to all travel agents at www.agentstream.com.
“Because travel is changing so quickly, no single person has the answer to every question. Being able to source the right information, when you need it, is what AgentStream is all about," said Frier.
