Saint Lucia announces agent incentive program
The Saint Lucia Tourist Board has announced the roll out its annual incentive program for agents – Saint Lucia Agent Months (SLAM).
It has teamed up with hoteliers, airlines and ground transportation to offer agents incentives and special rates through November 1.
In addition, American Airlines will offer travel agents a 50% discount for flight departures in June, October and November, and WestJet is cutting agent airfares by 70% until December 16.
There will be a number of hosted site inspections at participating hotels and resorts, tours, excursions and restaurant visits.
Travel providers taking part in SLAM include Barefoot Holidays, Holiday Taxi, and several beach resorts such as Calabash Cove Resort & Spa, Sugar Beach – A Viceroy Resort, Smuggler’s Cove Resort and Spa, and St. James’s Club Morgan Bay.
Tourism officials are also gearing up for a five-day Saint Lucia wedding symposium taking place September 24 – 28, 2014 which will include site inspections for destination wedding specialists and agents at participating hotels and resorts and a showcase of local wedding vendors.
