US corporate travel management company TripActions is expanding into Europe, including the UK.

As part of a global expansion, it is opening an EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam and an office in London.

The company recently raised $51 million to fund its expansion.

"We had this vision to be a startup that is always going for it and creating an end-to-end business travel solution that includes the globe. The launch in Europe is just the first step in our international footprint," said CEO Ariel Cohen.

The company says it is seeing 23% month-on-month growth and it plans to triple its workforce from 250 to 800 within the next 18 months.

Its end-to-end platform offers personalised options for flights and hotels and it claims clients typically save 34% on their travel spend.

"TripActions was founded to help end the stress that road warriors experience on the road," Cohen said. "In order to support the infrastructure needed to do it, we need to put physical footprints in regions where planning travel may be challenging. We’re committed to being there for our customers and travellers in every way we can."
