Seascanner announces US expansion
UK online cruise specialist Seascanner has announced its market entry into the US this month.
It comes in time for the Wave season.
The move is part of the company’s international expansion strategy following the introduction of operations in Spain and Germany, in recent years.
The agency confirmed local fares and promotions will be available to the US market. The expansion will be spearheaded by a new office, located in Michigan.
Seascanner is an offshoot of cruise.co.uk and was launched three years ago in the UK to cater for younger cruise passengers. It recently celebrated its most successful Q4 ever with revenue up by 79% year-on-year.
Tony Andrews, managing director of cruise.co.uk, said: “This is a milestone moment for Seascanner, offering US expansion a mere three years since we launched in the UK. We’re excited to get going in what is the world’s foremost cruise market.”
