Seen Mobile Media invigorates mobile at The Get Funded Show

Seen Mobile Media, a B2B mobile solution to increase the reach and value brands can extract from their digital content will be showcasing its dynamic mobile travel service at The Get Funded Show@World Travel Market.

Managing director Gary Rossell said: “In the early dotcom days myself and partner Simon Alexander created the first mobile city guide, but the tech maturity and user adoption was not quite there.

“Now, operators have invested in infrastructure and we have realised the real power is taking businesses to the mobile market.”

The evolution of the mobile phone from personal communication tool to online device has created huge possibilities for the travel industry.

Seen Mobile Media believes it addresses this new market by creating highly personalised, revenue generating content for brands to deliver their customers’ mobile phones.

“We’ve created Mobile as a Service (MaaS) white label offering. Brands can use all relevant information to create personalized content for each individual consumer, whilst consumers are able to control the content they receive. This means advertising can be uniquely targeted through highly personalised content,” Rossell said.

A key development in the mobile landscape has been the launch of numerous AppStores.

Rossell sees them as a great opportunity for brands, with “Seen providing distribution and helping Mr Brand maximise the service he can offer customers”.

Seen Mobile Media pitch at The Get Funded Show on November 11-12 is the fruition of many years of development.

The most challenging moment Rossell remembers was the ongoing development of infrastructure that caters for all the necessary elements. However, his most enjoyable was seeing the reaction from brands as Seen started to engage with them.

Rossell is confident Seen Mobile Media has all the necessary ingredients for success, including a strong team with experience from Telefonica and Coca-Cola. He believes it is the right idea at the right time.

“Technology and user adoption have come of age. Four or five years ago Seen would not have been possible, but now it is. A change in the way consumers use their phones has made vision a reality,” Rossell continued.

“We are looking for the right sort of investor – with vision and understanding of the importance of mobile on travel. Mobile will play a pivotal role in the travel industry’s economic recovery and we will see all elements of travel come together using mobile.”
