Australian agents are being urged to upsell Malaysia during the 2010 Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival from July 24 to September 16.

Shahrin Mokhtar, director Tourism Malaysia Sydney, said the Mega Sale Carnival offers some of the world’s best shopping and the perfect opportunity for agents to push Malaysia for extended stopovers or holidays.

“We expect it will drive sales to the region, giving agents another reason to sell the destination, whether it’s for a stopover or a dedicated Malaysian holiday.

“As a stopover destination Kuala Lumpur is the perfect choice for Australians and during the Mega Sale Carnival there are a range of great value packages available to ensure the trade can offer their clients the best deals,” said Mokhtar.

Lasting for almost eight weeks the Mega Sale Carnival is the country’s biggest sales event bringing together a whole range of bargains on various merchandise, from home grown products, designer goods, local handicrafts, fashion-wear, to gadgets and dining experiences.
