Shanghai Disney releases etiquette guide for visitors

Tuesday, 27 May, 2016 0
The official opening of the long awaited Shanghai Disney is just days away and city officials have released an etiquette guide aimed at encouraging ‘civilised behaviour’ by all visitors.

The good behaviour guide is in response to what officials called ‘uncouth’ activities during the soft launch in April.

The guide cautions tourists not to throw trash, be rowdy, vanadalize property, damage the landscaping or jump lines.

Curiously, it also asks visitors not to ‘lie down on the ground.’

When the metro line from downtown Shanghai officially opened last month, large crowds assembled outside the main gates, resulting in mountains of trash, trampled flower beds and graffiti.

The $5.5-billion Shanghai Disneyland opens in mid-June and features six themed areas including Adventure Isle, Treasure Cove, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
