Worldhotels affiliate Central Hotel Shanghai is nearing completion of a total makeover with re-opening scheduled for November 1.

The First Class Collection affiliate hotel adjacent to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Mall closed in March for extensive renovations.

“Central Hotel Shanghai is now poised to begin an exciting new era,” said general manager Jifu Zhang.

Central Hotel Shanghai is situated close to Shanghai Municipal Government Offices. It is 20 minutes from Hong Qiao Airport and 45 minutes from Pu Dong International Airport.

The hotel is best known for its crab specialties and authentic cuisine at the Shanghai Restaurant where ancient and traditional Chinese musicians perform every evening.

Its Cigar Lounge is also considered world-class.

Worldhotels is expanding fast in China, with a portfolio of 36 affiliate hotels.
