Simmons onboard with Outrigger Hotels
Outrigger Hotels and Resorts has appointed Mark Simmons as vice president sales and marketing, Asia-Pacific.
An Australian national with 23 years’ experience in hospitality in Asia-Pacific, most of it in sales and marketing, Simmons will be based at the Outrigger regional headquarters in Phuket.
He will report to Darren Edmonstone, Outrigger executive vice president and managing director, Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining Outrigger, Simmons was vice president sales and marketing for SilverNeedle Hospitality, based in Singapore.
He has held senior executive positions at the Preferred Hotel Group and at Delivering Asia, both in Hong Kong.
Simmons has also been responsible for senior sales and marketing and operations positions in Asia-Pacific at the Landmark Bangkok, Accor Asia-Pacific, Century International Hotels, Jumeirah International, and Radisson Hotels.
