Singapore Airlines posts first pandemic profit
Singapore Airlines has recorded its first quarterly profit in the Covid-19 era. It posted a small net profit of S$85 which is its first profitable quarter since December 2019.
Revenue doubled to S$2.32 billion compared to the previous year. SIA Group said it comes after a ‘significant step-up’ in passenger traffic as well as strong cargo sales. It carried 1.1 million passengers during the quarter, which is more than five times the number from last year.
