Snow causing UK travel chaos
Heavy snow falls led to travel disruption across much of the UK this morning with many airports shut, roads unpassable and rail services subject to delays and cancellations.
Flights were being delayed at Heathrow, Gatwick, Glasgow and Leeds/Bradford airports. Bristol airport was shut first this this morning but was expected to re-open later this morning. Southampton airport also closed last night due to heavy snow falls. Other airports affected included Birmingham and Luton.
Passengers are being advised to check with their airlines before setting out to catch flights
Rail companies were operating to revised timetables across the country.
