So what if they don’t fly here?
A South Pacific air carrier opened a sales and marketing office even though it does not fly to the US.
US for Aircalin (Air Caledonie International), a carrier based in the South Pacific Island of New Caledonia, is being represented by Discover the World Marketing.
“There are a number of sales and marketing opportunities we will create on behalf of Aircalin because the carrier is virtually undiscovered by the US travel trade,” said Jenny Adams, CEO of Discover the World Marketing.
Aircalin’s marketing and alliances manager Michel Regi said:
“Even though we do not fly to the US, we wanted to increase our visibility here.”
Ms Adams added the company would be heavily involved in educating agents about the destination and the airline.
