Solo travelers getting price break with Tauck
Solo travelers might find Tauck World Discovery’s new assortment of selected cruises and tours attractive because “single occupancy’ surcharges will be reduced or waived starting next year.
Tauck says special rates will apply to some 47 departures on 16 different cruise and tour itineraries in the US, Canada and Europe.
“Tauck guests’ can save as much as $3,000 off of our standard single pricing, and the average savings is more than $1,200,” said President/CEO Robin Tauck.
The specially priced trips include six Mediterranean cruises, eight of Tauck’s “A Week In….”, as well as itineraries in the US and other destinations.
Tauck says the move came after single guests told them having other solo travelers along made their trip more enjoyable.
Tauck says it welcomes singles on all its escorted trips, though the reduced price is limited to specific tours.
