‘Something different’ to book
Shorter trips, tours and wine events recently introduced by Gray Line of Seattle should be tasty to tour operators and travel agents, says Polly Radebaugh, director of marketing.
“They’re shorter than most of out trips. They offer tour operators and agents something a little different and are not just your typical city tour,” she told TravelMole.
Agents are paid 10% commissions on the new tours.
The tours are aboard Gray Line’s motor coaches. They include meals and wines.
Winery tours include some of the best-known producers in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Central Washington and the Yakima Valley. Wine tasting tours start at about $50.
A sample of other tours includes Mount St. Helens; and the Olympic Peninsula Lavender Festival to see lavender farms in action; “The Definitive Lewis and Clark Afternoon,” a trip through historical sites near Tacoma; the LeMay Car Collection Open House, offering more than 1,000 unusual cars; the Port Townsend Victorian Homes Tour, with some of the state’s most beautiful Victorian Homes.
Gray Line, a division of Holland American Line Inc., operates the largest fleet of luxury motor coaches in the Pacific Northwest.
