Southwest Airlines flight delayed after white powder discovered onboard
A Southwest Airlines flight out of Baltimore-Washington Airport was delayed following the discovery of an unknown white powder-like substance.
Authorities took no chances and moved passengers to another aircraft.
It caused a delay to Southwest Airlines Flight 466 bound for Oklahoma City.
The airline said cabin crew ‘observed two packets on the aircraft floor that appeared to contain powdery substance.’
"Out of an abundance of caution, we switched the flight to a different aircraft."
Airport’s fire crews later deemed the white powder was not a threat, airport spokesman Jonathan Dean said.
