Spa fans can now go AquaClass aboard Celebrity Solstice

Bookings for Celebrity Cruises’ new AquaClass category on board its newest ship, Celebrity Solstice, are now available for all spa holiday enthusiasts. The new accommodation will provide agents with an alternative product for customers who have traditionally booked land-based spa breaks and allow them to target new customers who have never considered cruising before.

Robin Shaw, managing director UK and Ireland for Celebrity Cruises, commented, “A new cruise ship is an exciting addition to any brand but with Celebrity Solstice we are offering even more holiday experiences with an entirely new accommodation grade. Agents can now sell dedicated spa breaks to their customers, confident that they will enjoy spa-specific accommodation, extra luxury treats such as luxury dining options and first class spa treatments as would be expected from this premium cruise line.”

From December 2008, the new Celebrity Solstice will offer seven-night cruises in the Caribbean, providing guests with the opportunity to discover this new level of personal pampering. The cruise line’s new category of veranda accommodations has been expressly designed for those looking for the ultimate spa experience with guests booked into AquaClass receiving unlimited access to the ship’s new AquaSpa relaxation room and the Persian Garden. They will also be able to sample the exotic aromatherapy and steam room and exclusive complimentary dining in Blu, an intimate 130-seat speciality restaurant.

AquaClass will comprise 130 of the ship’s 1,425 staterooms. 85 percent of all staterooms onboard Celebrity Solstice will have verandas and all staterooms will be equipped with flat-screen TVs, smarter storage and closet space, spacious bathrooms, and plush European bedding. The ship will offer wireless Internet access throughout.

A sample itinerary is a seven night cruise departing from Fort Lauderdale in Florida on  December 14, 2008 costing from ÂŁ1559.69 per person for an AquaClass Stateroom. Celebrity Solstice calls at San Juan (Puerto Rico), Basseterre (St Kitts), Philipsburg (St Maarten) and returns to Fort Lauderdale in Florida. Included in the price are return flights from the UK, all overseas transfers, on board accommodation, meals, on board entertainment and relevant fees and taxes.
