Spanish regions reintroduce masks
Several regions across Spain have reinstated compulsory face mask rules due to increased levels of both the flu and Covid-19.
There has been a spike in cases of both since the Christmas period.
It is mandated only for health facilities and hospitals so far.
Valencia has been one of the hardest hit cities for rising cases.
There has been an increase in cases across Catalonia, Aragon and Murcia.
Spain’s government is mulling a national mask mandate specifically for entry to hospitals and health clinics.
There is no sign that a face mask mandate will be extended to other public spaces yet, although it hasn’t been completely ruled out on public transport if cases continue to rise.
