Tuesday, 18 Feb, 2010 0

Travelmole is to host its first Travel Industry Question Time of 2010 on February 24.

The session will see leading experts gather to discuss the fate of the traditional travel agent in the face of emerging technologies.

The event, run in conjunction with high-end software development company DataArt, runs from 1600 to 1830 at the Howard Hotel near central London’s Temple tube station and will be moderated by Travelmole’s Graham McKenzie.

McKenzie will lead the discussion on how online booking capabilities have
allowed  travellers to select, book and pay for the most complex of itineraries without ever referring to an agent, causing a paradigm shift in the industry.

Speakers include CTO of CarTrawler Bobby Healy, Vice president at GTA Travel Stuart Ellis, Travel Counsellors’ David Speakman, Expedia’s Roy Graff and Advantage Travel’s John McEwan.
