Visit Austin and Norwegian partnered with DIY Magazine to host an event earlier this month designed to showcase Austin as the ‘Live Music Capital of the World’.
Called Big Indie Big Nights, the gathering was held at Two Tribes Brewery, in Tileyard Studios, Kings Cross, with the headline act an intimate set from Jackie Venson, an Austin born and based songwriter and blues influenced musician.
Click here to listen to an interview with Jackie, described by The Statesman as a ‘Gary Clark Jr. level talent who speaks boldly through her guitar while entrancing with her gorgeous, smoky voice’.

Norwegian recently launched a route from London Gatwick to Austin Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) running from March to late October three times a week.
Visit Austin is running a competition to win a holiday of a lifetime to visit the city and take in a gig at its famous Austin City Limits Live venue, with flights on Norwegian.
You and a guest could be sampling local BBQ joints, checking out the food truck scene, getting a bargain and the local thrift stores or designer outlets, or hiking, biking, paddle boarding or surfing at Nland surf park.
