England football fans will finally know today where their team will be based for the early stages of next summer’s World Cup.
The eagerly awaited World Cup draw takes place this afternoon to determine which sides England will face and in which location.
Tour operators running World Cup tours will be anxious to know where England will be based in order to finalise travel plans.
The industry will also be able to better gauge the team’s chances of progressing through to later stages of the tournament based on the sides drawn to play England in the initial round of matches.
The 32 teams who have qualified will find out from the draw who they play and where.
David Beckham and film star Charlize Theron will be involved in the draw which is expected to attract a global TV audience of 250 million people.
