Starwood signs third Aloft hotel in Jakarta

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of its third Aloft hotel for Indonesia’s capital Jakarta.
 
Aloft Jakarta Simatupang is set to open in 2020 and will feature 180 guestrooms and suites.
 
The South Jakarta property is owned by PT. Anugrah Karya Bangsa and will include three F&B outlets including a rooftop bar, a gym, swimming pool and 700 square metres of meeting and function space including a ballroom.
 
"We are thrilled to sign another Aloft hotel in Jakarta as we forge ahead with our vigorous expansion plans in Southeast Asia. A booming area in terms of trade and tourism, Indonesia is a major draw for both leisure and business travellers," said Starwood’s regional vice president for Southeast Asia, Charlie Dang. 
 
"Not only are we are strengthening our partnership with PT. Anugrah Karya Bangsa, we are also leveraging their local expertise to bring Aloft’s passion for live music, design, and tech-forward mindset to the next generation of travellers in Indonesia."
 
Jakarta’s first two Aloft properties – Aloft Jakarta Kebon Jeruk and Aloft Jakarta Wahid Hasyim – are scheduled to open in the city next year.
