Strikes to hit in July the transportation sector across Europe

Strikes are affecting the transportation sector in Europe this month of July. Here is a list of the current and next-to-come disruptions across the continent.
- Finland (July) : strike of ground services related to flights at Helsinki airport today on July 2. Further industrial actions affecting ground operations at Helsinki Airport on 4, 7, 16, 18, 21 and 23 July 2025.
- France (July 3–4): Air traffic controllers are staging a two-day strike in French airspace. 25% of flights cancelled at Paris airports, 30% at Ajaccio, Figari, Lyon, Marseille and Montpellier and 50% in Bastia, Calvi and Nice. One rail union has also filed an open-ended strike notice until September for SNCF staff, including rail controllers.
- Italy (July 7–8 & July 10): A nationwide rail strike will run from 9 pm on July 7 to 6 pm July 8, affecting long-distance, regional, and commuter trains. Plus, baggage handlers and ground staff are set to strike at Milan-Linate, Milan-Malpensa and Venice airports on July 10. Taxi drivers at Milan airports will also be walking out during the same time.
- Spain (August): following the recent strike on June 25,26 and 27, the union representing EasyJet Spain cabin staff is threatening of further indefinite strike in August.
- UK – Glasgow (July 11–13): Subway workers in Glasgow plan strikes during the TRNSMT music festival, over pay and working conditions.
