Finnair affected by strikes throughout July

Strike is hitting again Finnair, Finland national carrier. And more are already planned until the end of the month.
Finnair will have to cancel around 100 flights scheduled for Wednesday, July 2. The move is due to industrial action announced by the Finnish Aviation Union (IAU). The strike will disrupt essential ground services at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. It will impact the travel plans of approximately 7,000 passengers.
Finnair began notifying affected customers on June 30, offering alternative flight options or the possibility of cancelling and receiving a refund. Passengers can track changes and rebook flights through Finnair’s Manage Booking tool or app. Rebooking is also available via customer service channels or through travel agents.
As a preventive measure, Finnair had already allowed customers scheduled to fly on July 2 to change their travel dates free of charge. Thousands have already rescheduled their plans.
Unfortunately, Finnair is not out of the wood yet. The IAU has effectively announced additional strike dates on July 4, 7, 16, 18, 21, and 23. While the full impact of these future actions remains unclear, Finnair is urging travelers with bookings on July 4 and 7 to proactively change their flight dates. The carrier allows rescheduling up to the end of September, depending on the fare conditions.
The airline will release two days in advance cancellations for future strike dates, once operational impacts become clearer.
