Suffer the little children
Suffer the little Children ~ Family Unfriendly Airlines. Another aspect of airline imposed `Fuel Surcharges’ that infuriates me relates to surcharges imposed on children & infants. In most cases Children & Infants get charged the same `Fuel Surcharge’ as an adult, If the surcharge was incorporated into the fare as do a couple of off-shore carriers, then Children & Infants would still get the proportionate benefit of the applicable discounted fares. As it is an infant travelling between say Brisbane and Nadi can pay an infant return fare of $38.00 but has to pay a fuel surcharge of $114.60 which represents a surcharge of 301.57%.
