SuperStar Virgo to homeport at trio of North China ports
Star Cruises’ ship SuperStar Virgo will embark on a triple deployment in Northern China.
From September the ship will sail from Dalian, Tianjin and Qingdao for a three-month stint.
It will rotate between the three ports on sailings to Japan with four-night cruises from Dalian starting in September to Nagasaki, Kitakyushu and Fukuoka, and four or five night sailings from Tianjin.
Qingdao sailings in November will call at Kagoshima, Fukuoka and Nagasaki.
With sister ships SuperStar Gemini in Xiamen, Sanya and Haikou, and SuperStar Aquarius in Qingdao, the line covers China’s three main regional cruise markets.
"We are excited that Genting Cruise Lines is expanding its market reach in North China. By deploying Star Cruises to the three key cruise markets in China, we are providing a variety of different cruise experiences from across China, building closer relationships with local travel agents, ports and business partners," said Kent Zhu, president of parent Genting Cruise Lines.
