Triple Eight Race Engineering, along with current Australian V8 Supercars champion Jamie Whincup and racing legend Craig Lowndes will join the line-up of cars and stars in the inaugural Top Gear Festival in Sydney next March.

The Top Gear team led by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and The Stig will take over Sydney Motorsport Park with their new motoring event during the weekend of March 9-10.

The Top Gear Festival, which is making its debut in Australia, will include the opening round of the 2013 Radical Australia Cup, featuring two sprints and a 50-minute feature race of up to 30 cars.

The Touring Car Masters will showcase a selection of immaculately prepared racecars of the pre-1976 era, including Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers and Monaros.

Other festival highlights include Red Bull Racing’s F1 driver Mark Webber; a Stunts & Jumps Zone; the world’s most expensive and powerful cars in Stig’s Supercar Garage; and Family Zone entertainment for kids.
