Tami signs up for the Guild
GBTA Conference special: Alyn and Deeside Labour MP Mark Tami has been appointed as the new parliamentary advisor to the Guild of Business Travel Agents.
Tami took his seat in the House of Commons following the general election in 2001 and is currently a member of the Select Committee on Northern Ireland. He is also a secretary of the Associate Parliamentary Aerospace Group.
GBTA chief executive Philip Carlisle said: “As an organisation, the GBTA is committed to representing the interests and requirements of the business travel market. To do that effectively, it is important that we have a link to parliament and Mr Tami will fulfill that role for us.”
Tami replaces Tom Watson, who stepped down last year due to additional commitments in Westminster.
