Tata Sons plans full control of AirAsia India
Air India owner Tata Sons plans buy out the remaining stake in budget carrier AirAsia India. According to a filing with the Competition Commission, Tata wants to purchase the remaining 16.33% still held by Malaysia’s AirAsia Group.
Tata and AirAsia established the airline through a joint venture several years ago. Tata also operates a separate joint venture with Singapore Airlines, operating full-service airline Vistara.
