TC changes name of airline website
Thomas Cook Airlines has changed the name of its website and its Facebook and Twitter accounts to reflect the fact that it’s no longer just about flight-only sales.
It has replaced flythomascook.com with thomascookairlines.com in a bid to become known as more than just a seat-only operation.
Its Facebook account is now thomascookairlinesUK and its Twitter account is @TCAirlinesUK.
"The new website name signals our intent to be more visible and more recognisable as an airline, with more information and functions than just a site to buy flights," said Christoph Debus, chairman of the Thomas Cook Group Airlines.
"With our recent announcement of our new routes to New York and Miami from Manchester – and of course our new aircraft – we’re continuing to transform our airline and the online experience we provide to our customers is key to this."
Since December, the airline has added six new aircraft to its fleet with the arrival of the Airbus A321, with a total of 25 new aircraft being added to the Thomas Cook Group Airlines by 2016.
It has also invested in new ‘Sunny Heart’ livery and a refurbishment of the cabins of the airlines current fleet.
