Test driving a luxury cruise
For those not sure they want to commit to a week or so at sea, Crystal Cruises is offering a three-night roundtrip test cruise from Fort Lauderdale in March.
Guests will sample the newly refurbished, 50,000-ton, 940-passenger Crystal Symphony.
The $12 million upgrade of the ship includes a new Feng Shui-designed spa and fitness center. There’s also complimentary golf or yoga, and the Creative Learning Institute offers classes in the arts, finance, wellness or lifestyle, among other subjects.
The sampler cruise has no ports of call.
Prices start at $650, double occupancy, according to Crystal.
