Thailand still Asian favourite
Thailand remains Asia’s top destination, according to many of the UK’s tour operators visiting the Thailand Travel Markett in Bangkok.
Despite the political issues that were facing the country, resulting in riots and airport closure, UK visitor numbers remain buoyant, delegates heard.
"We have seen only a slight drop in numbers to Thailand since the political issues but still have complete confidence in the quality and value of the Thai travel proposition,’” said Vicky Alexander, product manager for Emerald Global.
"We are forecasting a slight growth in numbers for next year and have a wide range of fantastic products that continue to offer vale for money and of course traditional high class Thai service."
