The 44 Places to Go in 2009
NEW YORK – The New York Times has nominated the Top 44 places to go in 2009 and is inviting visitors to its website to vote on their favourite destinations.
In Asia, Penang, Phuket, Boracay in the Philippines and Bhutan are nominated while Tasmania is the only nomination in Australia.
Other destinations to feature in the Top 44 are Kazakhstan, Marrakesh, Doha, Beirut and a Pennsylvania farm.
The New York Times Travel section profiles each of the destinations and asks website visitors to make their recommendations for the top spot to travel this year.
