The Caped Crusader checks into Sydney Central

Batman has unmasked Sydney’s newest Bat Cave – Rydges Sydney Central hotel.

Hotel guests can take a trip in the Batmobile, a hand-made replica of the vehicle used in Tim Burton’s 1989 blockbuster movie.

Rydges Sydney Central GM, Blair Wallace, found that unlike teetotaller Bruce Wayne, the Oz Caped Crusader showed a distinct taste for Sydney Brewery’s beers on tap, chilling out with schooners of Surry Hills Pils, Paddo Pale and Sydney Cider before climbing up the wall of the hotel and sleeping off the excitement in his suite.

The Sydney Batmobile is the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with its body panels made from spares from the original production.

The (Aussie) Batmobile’s owner and creator Zac Mihajlovic is offering tours of Sydney ranging from 20-minute joyrides to four-hour marathons – BYO cape.

Rates for the Batmobile start from A$250, rates at Rydges Sydney Central start from A$159 per night.
