The most convenient hotel in Australia

Saturday, 08 Nov, 2007 0

With reports telling us that flying is becoming even more stressful, flying and attending the Melbourne Cup could have been stressful, if The Mole had not been staying at the Hilton Melbourne Airport.

Where else in Australia can you land at an airport, get your bags, walk a few meters, check in and be in your room in about 30 minutes max – nowhere I know of except Melbourne.

And this is no basic airport hotel, with the Hilton Melbourne Airport very swish and contemporary indeed and the excellence of the property has been demonstrated by the hotel winning the Overall Accommodation Hotel of the Year Award at the 2007 AHA National Awards in Adelaide recently, the most prestigious event for hotels in Australia, setting the benchmark to which all hotels aspire.

Award criteria for “Best Overall Accommodation” included; guest services, food and beverage facilities, guest room standards, staff development and training initiatives as well as marketing activities and I can tell you that this hotel excels in all areas, with the excellent Dush Velcek the hotel’s Marketing and Communications Manager, without question, the right person to spread the word about this great hotel.

Dush says that The Hilton Melbourne Airport has built an enviable reputation with its award winning accommodation and service, which has carved a niche in the Australian travel market, providing outstanding accommodation in a world class location with modern facilities not seen in any other Australian airport hotel.

Chris Partridge, General Manager, Hilton Melbourne Airport said about the Award, “We are thrilled Hilton Melbourne Airport has been acknowledged by the industry and by our peers with this prestigious award.”

“Hilton Melbourne Airport’s strong performance is a credit not only to the hotel’s outstanding facilities and unbeatable location but to all our dedicated team members, at all levels, who have consistently shown a willingness to go the extra mile and in doing so, offering the best possible product and service.”
