The naked truth about Rab
The island of Rab in the 1930s attracted King Edward VIII and his wife, Wallis Simpson (he left the throne to marry the woman he loved).
But how they visited started the island’s fame.
They went nude.
Soon, the island in Croatia had its first nudist beach.
Its location is a key to its success. It is located at the foot of the Velebit mountain range, protecting it from cold and stormy winter winds. The climate is pleasant year-round.
For those tired of the beach, the main resort Rab Town has a variety of medieval buildings dating back to the 13th century.
