The unkindness of strangers
For air travelers today, “relying on the kindness of strangers may be a thing of the past,” according to a Travelocity survey.
Among other findings, the survey in March found 40% of travelers felt it was unnecessary to comply when asked by fellow passengers to switch seats. Nearly 5% considered it a rude request.
“Furthermore, the poll found that a large group of travelers may themselves be the culprits of sporting what many consider ‘rude’ behaviors such as excessive cell phone usage or those who fully recline their seats in flight,” said the report.
