Marriott International Inc. introduced a weddings toll-free resource line, 877-4 OUR JOY.
Offered daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., “Joy – Your Dream Wedding” has specialists to answer specific questions, share trends and offer research or planning help.
Marriott says offers 1,400 “certified wedding event planners” throughout the US and the Caribbean.
“Joy – Your Dream Wedding is the most extensive weddings service in the lodging industry,” said Robin Uler, senior vice president, food and beverage and retail, Marriott.
Weddings have grown by 10% at Marriott properties in the past two years. Weddings and wedding-related business generates $300 million to the company.
More couples are also traveling to get married, choosing destinations and resort venues and transforming the event into a family vacation.
