Thomas Cook Airlines looks to grow digital team
Thomas Cook Group Airline is recruiting for 20 extra staff for a new consolidated digital marketing team in Manchester.
They will join around 25 existing staff who will be based at new offices in Cardinal House, St Mary’s Parsonage, within easy reach of the airline’s main offices in a hangar at Manchester Airport.
The new roles are spread across product, marketing and analytics for all customer-centric digital activity across Thomas Cook Airline and Condor seat-only business.
There is also a digital team of around 30 people based in Oberursel, Frankfurt.
Digital projects had previously been handled by staff in Manchester, London, Peterborough, and by remote contractors in others parts of the UK.
"We have a huge amount of experience in the team from the travel industry and beyond. By bringing our digital expertise in one place we can further develop and support our Group Airline strategy and seat-only business," said Henry Sunley, commercial director, sales UK and digital Thomas Cook Airlines.
"We can now speed up the development of our digital sales business and create a world-class digital team. We will be agile, more creative and more collaborative across the Group and we are starting to see the results of that already."
Digital product projects completed since the Manchester office opened include the launch of Economy Light fares and enhanced luggage booking functionality, while marketing projects include James Martin’s new Summer menu launch.
