Thomas Cook director joins Travelife
Thomas Cook director Peter Grandell has joined the Board of Travelife, a certification scheme for sustainable tourism.
Grandell has been Cook’s director of operations for hotels & resorts, including the Sunwing, SunConect, Sunprime, Smartline and Sentido brands, for the past three years.
Travelife MD Nikki White said: "We are extremely pleased to welcome Peter to our board of directors, his wealth of industry experience and proven commitment to sustainable tourism, will add a new dimension to the Travelife Board."
Grandell ‘s appointment to the Travelife board highlights Thomas Cook’s strong commitment to Travelife, and emphasises the growing importance of Travelife certification globally, she said.
Grandell added: "As Thomas Cook looks at how we can re-focus our sustainability strategy in 2017, I am delighted to be invited to join the Board of Directors and look forward to using this opportunity to reenergise Thomas Cook’s engagement with this vital scheme."
