Thomson to open first high-tech store in London
Thomson will open its first ever London-based Holiday Design Store this summer at Westfield Stratford City.
The new concept is being introduced to the London area following the successful launch of other stores in the last 18 months, including Gateshead’s Metrocentre, Bluewater Shopping Centre, Sheffield’s Meadowhall, and Liverpool, Bristol and Glasgow city centres.
The stores have high definition screens and projections featuring destination and hotel content, with social media feeds.
Jill Carter, director of retail at TUI UK & Ireland, said: “Our existing Holiday Design Stores have been a huge success with excellent feedback from both customers and staff and we have already started to introduce elements from these new stores to our existing ones and have implemented changes to 24 so far.
“It’s great that we will now be able to offer this unique and personalised service in London.”
