Thousands more Christmas flights cancelled
The ‘historic’ bomb cyclone storm severely upended holiday travel with thousands of Christmas flights cancelled.
Airlines canceled over 2,200 flights for Friday after scrapping 2,400 on Thursday.
It is impacting about two-thirds of the entire country.
“It’s dangerous and threatening, it’s really very serious weather,” President Biden said.
It is expected to be one of the worst Christmas time winter storms in decades.
Many states have blizzard warnings and windchill advisories all the way from Montana to New York.
Along with 50 mph winds in some areas, power outages are likely.
The National Weather service said ’widespread disruptions’ will cover much of the country, affecting over 200 million people.
There were more than 500 Christmas flights cancelled today in Chicago alone.
