More than 100 passengers and crew had a miraculous escape after a Tibet Airlines plane burst into flames during an aborted take-off.
All managed to exit with some suffering minor injuries during the evacuation, Tibet Airlines said.
The cabin suffered major fire damage.
It happened at Chongqing Airport in southwest China.
Crew aborted the takeoff due to a technical issue, causing the A319 plane to veer off the runway.
“In the process of taking off, the flight crew discovered an abnormality with the aircraft and stopped the take-off according to the procedures,” the Civil Aviation Administration of China said in a statement.
“The aircraft left the runway and caught fire after the engine hit the ground.”
Flights have resumed at the airport and an investigation was underway.
