TIPTO plans 19 agent roadshows

Sunday, 23 Aug, 2004 0

A series of 19 roadshows for agents are planned for 2004-05 by the Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation (TIPTO).

The first set of 10 events start at York racecourse on September 21 and run until mid-November. The remainder will be held in 2005.

The marketing consortium of 20 independent suppliers – which has just lost Travelscene as a member due to the operator’s collapse last week – attracted almost 2,000 agents to its last series of roadshows.

TIPTO has adopted a “TIPTO to the Movies” theme for the evening events as the organisation marks its sixth anniversary on September 1.

Agents accepting invitations will be sent and film and product-related quiz in advance, with two holiday prizes on offer for the winners.

TIPTO is also hosting up to 100 independent agents in a dedicated hospitality and exhibition area at world Travel Market on London on November 11.
