EasyJet has responded to Aer Lingus in the Gatwick flights market with a price comparison advertising campaign.
The UK carrier, which will have more than 40 aircraft based at the airport this summer, claims its Irish rival’s fares on comparable routes are around £100 more each way.
EasyJet UK general manager Paul Simmons, said: “Today’s campaign is aimed at exposing the myth that Aer Lingus also offer low-fares this summer. The evidence illustrates otherwise.”
Aer Lingus launched low cost services from Gatwick a year ago.
