London-based Baxter Hoare Travel has acquired St Albans’s Pressplan Travel Limited for an undisclosed sum.
Forty-year-old Pressplan has a strong events and exhibitions arm and will augment Baxter Hoare’s presence in the market. Pressplan is the TMC and hotel contractor for 40 global exhibitions and trade fairs.
Pressplan staff will relocate to the new parent company’s London Bridge headquarters and Nicole Paterson will head up the combined events business as she joins the Baxter Hoare management team.
Baxter Hoare managing director Adam White said: “This is exciting news for both our customers and our staff as not only will it enable us to offer a wider range of products and services to customers but it will give our staff greater career development opportunities to grow as the business continues to expand rapidly.
“This is a great fit and we are delighted to welcome the Pressplan team whose experience compliments the deep knowledge of the Baxter Hoare staff which, when combined, will enable us to develop our business, personal and events travel businesses to new highs.”
