Tour operators to slope off to France
The Association of British Travel Organisers to France (ABTOF) is to hold its annual conference in a ski resort for the first time in its history as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.
The event will be held at the four-star Pierre et Vacances Premium 1950 Le Village in Les Arcs from April 22 to 25.
The conference programme will include sessions on growing your business, effective negotiation, measuring return on investment for social media, sustainable tourism, the future of travel and the attraction of the Alps as a summer destination.
There will also be time to ski (snow permitting).
Confirmed speakers include former Olympic skier Graham Bell, Independent travel editor Simon Calder and Sunday Times journalist Sean Newsom.
