Tourism body calls for priority vaccinations for Indian tourism workers
The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) is urging the government to designate all tourism and hospitality employees as frontline workers in order to prioritise vaccinations.
It has asked the Prime Minister’s Office and health ministry to take action to help speed up the recovery of the tourism industry.
FAITH said it is vital for Indian tourism ahead of the peak holiday season. "This will send a strong message of Indian Tourism getting ready to receive visitors in a safe and responsible manner. This can also be the cornerstone of Indian Tourism’s tactical communication strategy," FAITH said.
