Tourism emergency response group meets
Tourism officials have held an emergency session to debate the impact on inbound tourism to the UK in the wake of the London bombings.
The tourism industry emergency response group co-ordinated by VisitBritain includes ABTA, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and British Airways.
A VisitBritain spokesman told the Ananova news service: “We want to discuss how best to go forward after the incidents.
“We have spoken to our overseas offices and there has been no evidence of mass cancellations of visits by foreign tourists.
“A number of Americans due to visit were anxious to find out what was happening and they were reassured that things were returning to normal in London.”
