Tourist boat capsize kills more than 20
A tourist boat capsized killing 21 passengers while on sight-seeing trip on Lake George in New York State.
The 40ft vessel was carrying up to 50 elderly passengers, the majority throught to be Canadian.
Police are investigating reports that the wake from a passing steamboat swamped the vessel and caused it to sink, the BBC reported.
About 29 people survived the sinking while the tourist boat Ethan Allen was 50 metres from the shore of the lake in the Adirondack mountains about 50 miles north of Albany.
